Captain Scott Legacy Society is partnering with Web of Life to do a community clean up at Gates Park in Port Coquitlam, BC! Web of Life is a grassroots organization that leads clean ups, ecological restoration projects, and more environmental events to protect neglected, local ecosystems in the Greater Vancouver area. They regularly clean up old abandoned homeless encampments, abandoned tree forts with huge piles of litter, and discarded furniture and illegal dumping that has been in forested areas.

This is a fully outdoor volunteer event that is accessible for all ages. Clean up activities will take place in groups on trails, in forested areas, and/or along the river to accommodate different comfort levels. Please dress appropriately for the weather. All cleaning supplies and refreshments will be provided.
Why should you volunteer for this opportunity?
The Community Care Adventure is a great way for new and seasoned volunteers to learn about new organizations and local causes! It will be fun to meet like-minded people, make friends, and give back to your community in a fun, flexible, and accessible environment. Who knows? You might discover a new place to volunteer, build your volunteer skills, and find belonging!

Volunteering is also your free ticket to our FREE Grand Volunteer Celebration, which features everything from food to prizes!
