📣 We’re Looking for a Social Media Assistant!
Are you looking to build your resume, grow your content creation skills, and support an inclusive tech community? 🍒 Join CherryOnTech as our  Social Media Assistant and help us amplify the voices of women, non-binary, and trans folks breaking into tech.

This volunteer role is perfect for anyone interested in digital storytelling, social media strategy, and creating content that makes an impact.

📋 Responsibilities
- Assisted the social media coordinator to post on platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram and newsletter)
- Schedule, publish content, respond to social inboxes, and engage with the community
- Collaboarted with the social media team to create a monthly social media content calendar based on the organization's strategy
- Create original content (text, image, video) focusing on Organization updates, volunteer and partner profiles, and tech news
- Collaborate with other teams (Program development, Community, Role-specific groups) to support content development tailored to their needs

🔑 Qualifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to work asynchronously, independently, and without direct supervision
- Eagerness to grow skills and gain hands-on experience as a Social Media Coordinator
- Excitement about being part of a community that empowers underrepresented genders in tech
- Maintain a communication style that is supportive, approachable, anti-racist, anti-oppressive, and inclusive

🗓️ Role Details
- A minimum 3-month commitment is strongly preferred, with the possibility of an extension
- 3-5 hours per week commitment
- Weekly group meetings with co-founders for support and guidance
- Flexible volunteer schedule and hours
- Remote position
- This is an unpaid volunteer opportunity
