Volunteer Competitive Math Instructor

About Us:

Coding Pals is a student-run non-profit offering free weekly coding classes to youth. Founded in Vancouver, BC, we aim to make computer programming accessible to all, providing high-quality instruction and resources to inspire the next generation of tech leaders.

Role Description:

Coding Pals is seeking dedicated instructors, preferably at a high school age, to lead online sessions on weekly Zoom to teach the basics of competitive math to youth, covering example questions, concepts, and problem solving strategies. This role requires proficiency in competitive math, a moderate time commitment, and a passion for empowering young learners.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct weekly live coding sessions on Zoom, teaching the fundamentals of competitive math to a group of young students.
- Teach readily available Coding Pals material in a manner that is tailored to the age group and skill level of the students.
- Provide real-time support and guidance to students during coding exercises, ensuring they understand key concepts.
