The Craft Council of BC is an arts service organization that provides support to the BC craft sector. Currently, we are looking for people who are interested in volunteering a minimum of one, regularly scheduled shift per week, to support our library administration.  If you have a passion for craft, love reading, and have been trying to find a way to support artists and contribute to BC's cultural economy then we would love to have you!

We are looking to fill 4 hour shifts. Shifts can take place between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM depending on your availability.

We provide training around all of the software we use to run the organization and some training around contemporary craft processes, allowing for a holistic learning experience. Along with 4 other staff members you would be working alongside our office dog - a friendly golden retriever named Alice.

Your specific duties would include: 
You will work closely with our team which will give you a front row seat to learn how a small library is run to:
•	Stamp books and magazines
•	Attach stickers and tape to books and magazines
•	Add information to our Library Thing and excel sheet databases
•	Create call numbers based on our current system 
•	Organize and shelve books

Qualifications

•	Basic computer literacy 
•	Ability to climb stairs, ladders and lift objects.
•	A love for organizing!
•	Courteous, helpful and outgoing personality when interacting with others.
•	Enjoy working as part of a team and have the ability to take the lead and work independently when required.
•	Ability to multi-task, organize, and be flexible.
