Dear Asian Youth Vancouver is looking for LONG-TERM members!
We are a chapter of Dear Asian Youth, a youth-led global non-profit organization aimed towards advocating for Asian youth and marginalized communities around the world.
DAY has been promoting intersectional activism, solidarity between marginalized groups, inclusion and equality, and fighting against social injustices since April 2020, when it was founded. We strive to spread awareness about social injustices, promoting diversity and inclusivity.
Who we are:
A DAY Chapter! DAY @ Vancouver is part of 85+ DAY Chapters around the world.
A safe haven! We strive to promote diversity and inclusivity, creating a safe place for youths (and everyone else!) in Vancouver to be proud of their culture.
An advocate! DAY @ Vancouver will work towards cultural and social engagement within our communities through initiatives including: Social media, projects, performances!

DAY @ Vancouver is not just a resume booster. We are looking for eager, committed individuals who are responsible and willing to allocate a sufficient amount of time to working with DAY. 

Below are the position descriptions.

Project Planner Member:

Responsibilities:
- Brainstorm, plan, and execute exciting in-person initiatives for the purpose of promoting DAY’s values and spreading cultural awareness in collaboration with the Chapter lead.
- Contacting potential venues or other relevant correspondents 
- Coming up with event ideas and planning and executing them thoroughly
- Attending regular scheduled meetings and responding to other members’ communications in a timely manner
- Communicating and collaborating with the Chapter Lead and other chapter members.

Additional Details & Skills Required
