The Multicultural Helping House Society (MHHS) and the Jewish Seniors Alliance (JSA) aim to reduce isolation and promote connection through volunteer visitors in the community.
Volunteering with older adults can be a great career path for people who want to work in the social sector, help others and feel fulfilled at their job. 

Volunteer Responsibilities:
Engage in meaningful conversations with seniors, playing a vital role in combating loneliness and social isolation among older adults.
Accompany seniors to medical appointments and social/cultural events.
Ensure clients’ well-being, including hygiene and food supply.

Details:
Appropriate for volunteers older than 18 years of age 
Free Training in the social working field offered
Select a shift that meets your availability
Police check required (You’ll receive a volunteer letter to obtain yours free of cost).

Why should you volunteer for this opportunity?
Volunteers will receive 18 hours of valuable practical training (mostly virtual) in this field. This is an opportunity receive a certificate and gain hands-on experience in the social working field to be more prepared for a career path that includes nursing, social working and physical therapy.
