Organization Mission
To enable Oak Bay residents to maintain or improve their independence and connection to the community through the provision of support services that also engender strong relationships and lasting human connections.

Project Description
Oak Bay Volunteer Services faces critical issues with its outdated, problematic volunteer management system. These technology challenges hinder efficient service delivery and pose concerning security risks. To overcome this, OBVS plans to leverage volunteer-driven hackathons to design and develop a modern, secure, and scalable interface and mobile app. They are currently seeking corporate sponsors and technology professionals to support the effort and ensure a successful technology overhaul.
This Hackathon will then be repeated on an annual basis, but for other Victoria area Non-profit organization with their own technology system requirements. This will require the creation of a separate organization, with a Board of Directors comprised of representatives from the 963 Victoria area Non-profits and the placement of a separate management team.
