Spiritual Health Volunteers - Wisdom Circle
We are looking for a volunteer to invite and accompany residents to a weekly wisdom circle where they come together to share memories and stories. Volunteers are given a list of names of residents who would like to attend and who need volunteers to push them in their wheelchairs to the activity space. Volunteers participate in the circle and encourage participation from the elders. The purpose of the program is to give the elders and opportunity to share their wisdom with one another. As turns are taken speaking and listening to each other, learning from each others wisdom and life experiences. Personal and spiritual development may grow through discussions of topics such as developing wisdom, forgiveness, facing mortality, leaving a legacy, and expressing emotions.
