STEAM ASSISTANT INSTRUCTOR (Richmond)
STEAM INSTRUCTOR | Stemming from STEAM Foundation Time: Saturdays, ~2:00-4:00pm, from January to February 2025 Location: Richmond Public Library: Cambie Branch, 11590 Cambie Rd. V6X 3Z5 Stemming from STEAM Foundation is looking for passionate individuals to assist in leading STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, English, Arts, and Mathematics) weekly extracurricular programs at the Richmond Public Library's Cambie Branch! As a program assistant instructor, you will be responsible for the following: - Supporting students (max 15/class) from Grades 3-6 with hands-on activities - Helping ensure the classroom is clean and organized during lessons - Creating an inclusive and welcoming environment - Reporting back to program supervisors - Collaborating with other program instructors and assistants Skills Required - Strong communication skills, specifically with youths - Ability to adapt and react to student/class needs - Patience and empathy - Professionalism Qualifications: - No age requirement (we welcome high school students) - No previous experience required — This position is designed to help new volunteers gain experience in an extracurricular learning environment!
