Volunteer (one time only) - Folil Trafün (Joining Roots) Festival Showcases – November 14th

Hello everyone!

I'm Lily Zuluaga, Volunteer Coordinator for VLACC.

The Vancouver Latin American Cultural Centre Society (VLACC) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to contribute to the education and cultural legacy of all Canadians by exploring and sharing a deeper understanding of Latin American arts and culture.

Join us for Folil Trafün (Joining Roots) festival showcases! Folil Trafün channels the power of films and dialogue to discuss themes of Indigenous Contested Lands and Rights of Nature. The showcases will explore how film and photography can advance the truth, reconciliation, and decolonization process within UBC and other communities.
These efforts are promoted to help heal historical wounds, restore Indigenous rights and sovereignty, and protect the environment through a more holistic, respectful approach that honors Indigenous knowledge and stewardship practices.

Location: UBC Robson Square | Main Theatre (800 Robson St, Vancouver, BC V6Z 2E7)

We invite you to participate as a volunteer by setting up and helping the attendees with registration at the front desk, dinner organization and tearing down.

We have two shifts:
3:00 pm to 7:00 pm
5:00 pm to 9:00 pm
