Cat Medical Team Volunteer

VOKRA is urgently seeking volunteers who have past experience as a VET/ VET TECH/ VET ASSISTANT.  

Age requirement:  over age 18 
Time commitment: minimum 2 hrs (fixed shift) for at least 6 months 

Time needed: 
Mon, Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat 10am -12pm; 
Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri 4-6pm

Medical shifts consist of the following duties:
- Perform medical rounds at the beginning of every shift;
- monitoring for abnormalities in eating/drinking/eliminating/ energy and fear, anxiety, stress
- Administer medications as prescribed by DVM
- Ideally, medical team members should be able to do sub-q fluids (for dehydrated cats), take temperatures, cut nails and not queasy around blood or injuries.
- Follow PPE protocols and ensure disease control measures are being upheld
- Ability and willingness to adapt to changing protocols and ensure best practice
- Handle stray or feral cats
