Volunteer Recruitment Manager

We are seeking a passionate and organized Volunteer Recruitment Manager to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in volunteer management and be adept at coordinating recruitment efforts, training team members, and enhancing our recruitment processes. This role is crucial in ensuring we have a steady stream of dedicated volunteers to support our rescue efforts.

Key Responsibilities:
Train & Oversee Recruitment Coordinators and Interviewers
Provide comprehensive training for new recruitment coordinators and interviewers.
Offer ongoing support, guidance, and performance feedback to the recruitment team.
Ensure recruitment coordinators and interviewers adhere to VOKRA’s standards and procedures.
  
Maintain & Improve Recruitment Procedures
Review and refine recruitment processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Develop and implement best practices for volunteer recruitment.

Publish Volunteer Opportunities for all Teams
Draft clear, engaging, and detailed descriptions for volunteer roles.
Post volunteer position descriptions on various platforms to attract suitable candidates.
Collaborate with the marketing team to promote volunteer opportunities on social media platforms.

Monitor the Volunteer Email Address:
Regularly check and respond to inquiries from potential volunteers.
Maintain timely and professional communication with all volunteer applicants.
  
Conduct Interviews and Manage Recruitment Process to Onboarding:
Personally conduct interviews for key volunteer positions to ensure the best fit for VOKRA’s needs.
Assist in the selection process by providing recommendations based on interview outcomes.
  
Additional Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate records of volunteer applications and interviews.
Coordinate volunteer orientation sessions.
Foster a positive and supportive environment for all volunteers.
Attend volunteer management meetings and provide updates on all recruitment activities.

Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years experience in volunteer management or a similar role with high volume recruitment for diverse roles..
Minimum weekly commitment of 3 hours.
Experience with Better Impact software is a significant asset.
Strong organizational and leadership skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Passion for animal welfare and VOKRA’s mission.
