Support Group Assistant – Neurodiverse-City at WSFP

Are you passionate about supporting neurodiverse children and their families? The Neurodiverse-City Support Group at WSFP is looking for a dedicated volunteer to assist in our monthly sessions! Our support group provides a welcoming space for families navigating neurodiversity. While children engage in social activities in an inclusive environment, parents connect, share experiences, and exchange resources information. We meet on the first Sunday of each month unless it falls on a statutory holiday. Each session lasts four hours, including setup and cleanup time. 
Duties: 
•	Greet families warmly and support them in settling into the space.
•	Engage with children in developmental and age-appropriate activities, both indoors and outdoors.
•	Facilitate and support play and social interactions for children within an inclusive setting.
•	Ensure a welcoming, safe, and supportive environment for all attendees.
•	Assist with sign-in, distributing resources, and light clean-up after sessions
Ideal Candidate:

Ideal Candidate:
•	Outgoing, compassionate, and enjoys working with children and families.
•	Experience or interest in working with neurodiverse children and their families is an asset.
•	Background in psychology, social work, education, early intervention or related fields (preferred but not required).
•	Comfortable working in a cross-cultural, multilingual setting.
•	Reliable and able to commit to at least one session per month (first Sunday of each month)
Certification or Education Required
