Volunteer Facilitator with YWCA's Guide to High School Program

WHAT: The YWCA Youth Education team is looking for volunteers to join our Guide to Highschool program. Work with a team of staff & volunteers to deliver an 8-week, fully prepared after-school program. Discuss and facilitate games about topics like friendship, sports/clubs, stress management, resisting peer pressure, dealing with bullies and other high school related topics. WHO: YWCA Metro Vancouver is now one of the province’s largest and most diversified non-profit organizations, serving for over 125 years. As we continuously evolve to meet the changing needs of our community, we aim to advance gender equity alongside women, families, Two-Spirit and gender diverse people through advocacy and integrated services that help support personal, collective and economic wellbeing. https://ywcavan.org/programs/youth-education WHEN: October to December (8 Weeks) 2:30-5:30 PM 3 hours, 1 day per week (options for more) 40-45 total volunteer hours Online Training (Recorded Session): Tuesday October 15th 5pm-7pm In Person Volunteer Training @ YWCA Program Centre (Downtown Vancouver): Saturday October 19th 8am - 4pm WHERE: A local high school in Burnaby, Richmond or Surrey. Placements will be decided during the interview process.
