The Mental Health Society of Greater Victoria (MHS) was founded in 2018 to address the increasing demand for accessible mental health services and resources in the community.

The MHS sees the need for change from firsthand experiences of its volunteers and community members. We aim to foster a community that speaks openly about mental health as something we all have and need to care for. As a starting point for people new to the system, we will create connections while serving as a central hub for people to start from. Through free education, training, and resource navigation, Victoria will become better equipped to care for each other’s mental health.

We are an interdisciplinary team of volunteers who work collaboratively with various service providers and organizations to better support the diverse mental health needs of people in Greater Victoria, British Columbia.
