Are you passionate about ending poverty in Canada? Would you like to support an organization that works to make a difference by addressing the root causes of poverty? The Canadian Poverty Institute is seeking interested and qualified individuals to serve on its National Advisory Committee. The role of the Advisory Committee is to participate in and inform the strategic priorities of the Institute within its three core purposes of teaching, research and practice including: - Identifying and prioritizing emerging and critical issues for research, policy and action - Providing advice and feedback on Institute activities - Supporting the Institute’s fundraising and sustainability objectives - Promoting and championing the Institute. The Canadian Poverty Institute is specifically seeking expressions of interest from those with a lived experience in, or represent an organization that works with and has experience in equity deserving communities or critical issue related to poverty. The National Advisory Committee meets virtually 3 – 4 times per year. Advisory Committee member terms are for three years with possibility of renewal.
