Comedy Festival 2025 Volunteer - General Volunteer

Office and show venues: 19 Street and 24 Avenue NW, Or 11 Venues in Calgary, Calgary, AB, T2M 0L4 [map]
2-40 hours / weekly
Receive the best outcomes during 6 month 
FunnyFest Comedy Society needs some help at live events and / or in the OFFICE (virtually and in person in the office) and this is no regular position. FunnyFest Comedy Society produces over 100 shows, events, seminars and workshops annually ... So you can start immediately helping out, while you learn and have fun. The main events:  FunnyFest Comedy Monthly Comedy Series; the 25th Annual FunnyFest Comedy Festival, May 29 to June 8, 2025, AND / OR 25th Annual FunnyFest Comedy Competition, April 17 to 26; Stampede of Laughs. Commitment is 2 hours at time to 4 hours. You will do many interesting and stimulating tasks that are important to accomplish, but are dynamic in nature --- You will see the progress and results almost immediately. This opportunity is for people that want to learn in a team environment as well as develop new skills in a supportive, yet challenging, and constantly evolving environment. You will be given space to be creative.

Additional Details & Skills Required
Basic ORGANIZATION skills, willing to learn, open mind, problem solving, fun loving.
Certification or Education Required
Ability to learn quickly and be decisive. Basic understanding of sense of urgency at events and must have organizational skills and open mind. Able to juggle a few tasks at a time. Able to laugh and challenge yourself.
