Driver - CALGARY COMEDY FESTIVAL, May 29 to June 8, 2025 AND many other events year round - Performers

The 25th Annual FunnyFest Comedy Society needs drivers to transport the performers to venues, for 2 to 4 hours per shift, during the CALGARY COMEDY FESTIVAL and during other key show dates (In addition, we need drivers to help will logistical matters and deliveries and pick ups from May 16 to May 29, 2025). As you are also both an ambassador for the City of Calgary AND advocate to make people feel welcome, you will laugh, oriented and guide the performers, respectively. This position has been reported to be one of the most fun and interesting of all the volunteer roles. As 2025 will be FunnyFest's 25th Anniversary, there is no better time to get involved, as there are amazing opportunities to gain valuable (and transferable) skills, meet new friends, receive some cool benefits, and help FunnyFest make the world a better place for all. 

You will be provided with a honorarium (i.e. fee to cover your costs), free tickets, laughter and too much fun!  Commitment is 2 hours at time to 4 hours, for 2 to 3 shifts minimum (i.e. So you feel part of the festival). You will help the comedy performers get ready for the show by delivering them in a safe and timely fashion to a number of venues ... And meet some pretty cool and supportive people.

B. 25th Annual FunnyFest Comedy Competition, April 17 to April 26, 2025;
C. 25th Annual FunnyFest Calgary Comedy Festival, May 29 to June 8, 2025;
D. 25th Annual FunnyFest Comedy - Stampede of Laughs, July 10 - 12, 2025;
E. Ongoing events, shows and workshops.

You will do interesting and stimulating tasks that are important to accomplish, but are dynamic in nature --- You will see the progress and results almost immediately. This opportunity is for people that want to learn in a team environment as well as develop new skills in a supportive, yet challenging, and constantly evolving environment. 

You will get to enjoy the show after you have completed your role (or you can watch the show and take the performers back to their hotel, upon completion of the show, so you can watch and laugh with them). 

You will be given space to be creative.
