Best outcomes & learning: 1 - 6 months
FunnyFest Comedy Society needs some help at live events with an EVENT ASSISTANT role on at least 3 nights during FunnyFest Comedy Monthly Comedy Series and special programming; the 25th Annual FunnyFest Comedy Festival, May 29 to June 8, 2025, AND / OR 25th Annual FunnyFest Comedy Competition, April 17 to 26, 2025. As 2025 will be FunnyFest's 25th Anniversary, there is no better time to get involved, as there are amazing opportunities to gain valuable (and transferable) skills, meet new friends, receive some cool benefits, and help FunnyFest make the world a better place for all.

Experience is preferred, but we would teach you. You would help at events with the running of the events in a timely, fun filled and decisive manner. Plus you will be part of making the events better every time, all the while, learning many applicable skills and systems that we have created to make the events run tightly, with the best production values possible. The EVENT ASSISTANT role could lead to contract work with FunnyFest Society. The commitment time is 2 hours at a time, to 4 hours at a time. You will do many interesting and stimulating tasks that are important to accomplish, but are dynamic in nature --- You might help at audience check - in, ushering, talent liaison, set up the stage, lights, signage, sound and other elements to make the show run smoothly and easily --- OR get a chance to learn and do all those cool and essential tasks.

This opportunity is for people that want to learn in a environment that permits you to engage in many tasks, develop new skills and make an impact. The environment is supportive, yet sometimes challenging, and a constantly evolving and moving environment. You will be given an opportunity to see (and possibly utilize) multiple sound systems and lighting packages. Plus a space to be creative.

Sometimes you would use our laptop computer to utilize MS Office (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook) and other software.

Your input is respected.
