Sponsorship and Advertising Marketing - FunnyFest Comedy Society 2024 - 2025 Volunteer
FunnyFest Society needs some help remotely and at the office with marketing to secure sponsors and advertising marketing (with some group ticket sale activity). The Sponsorship and Advertising Volunteer would help with securing sponsors, offer our advertising packages and ticket sales to groups and corporations. This is an outstanding role if you want to learn from 25 years of marketing experience in sponsorship partnership building. The FunnyFest Society produces shows, seminars and workshops year - round. We give back the community more than we take in. Please call our office @ 403 228 7888 to discuss the amazing opportunity. The main events: Monthly Comedy Series and fundraisers; 25th Annual FunnyFest Calgary Comedy Festival, MAY 29 to JUNE 8, 2025; AND the 25th Annual FunnyFest Comedy Competition, APRIL 17 to 26, 2025; plus On - going workshops and seminars. As 2025 will be FunnyFest's 25th Anniversary, there is no better time to get involved, as there are amazing opportunities to gain valuable (and transferable) skills, meet new friends, receive some cool benefits, and help FunnyFest make the world a better place for all. Experience is preferred, but we would teach you. Plus you will have fun, all the while, learning many businesses applicable skills and systems that we have created to be more efficient with our limited resources. The SPONSORSHIP / ADVERTISING MARKETING role could lead to contract work with FunnyFest Society. The commitment time is up to you, but we recommend 1 to 2 hours at a time, to 4 hours at a time. You will do many interesting and stimulating tasks that are important to accomplish, but are dynamic in nature --- You will see the progress and results almost immediately. This opportunity is for people that want to learn in a environment that permits you to learn many things, develop new skills and make an impact. The office environment is supportive, yet challenging, and a constantly evolving and moving environment. You will be given space to be creative and your own station with a computer to utilize SOCIAL MEDIA sites AND MS Office (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook) and other software. Your input is respected. Additional Details & Skills Required
Basic ORGANIZATION skills, willing to learn, open mind, problem solving, fun loving.
Certification or Education Required
Some experience with Hootsuite and social media postings and engagement. Ability to write short and precise content with some spice and flair.
