Love to cook? Share your creations with the Neighbour Night program to help a group of amazing residents build relationships and livelihood assets!

Neighbour Night is an informal peer support program that brings together Hillhurst Sunnyside community members to build new friendships while engaging in various recreation activities and workshops that participants have selected. The program runs every Thursday from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Each session begins with sharing a meal, followed by an activity or workshop.

The responsibilities of a Neighbour Night Volunteer Cook are to:
-	Plan, prepare, and cook a healthy, vegetarian, and nut-free meal for Neighbour Night
-	Inform the Community Connections Coordinator of any ingredients needed for the meal to ensure everything is ready to cook upon arrival
-	Clean up related materials and spaces after use

Volunteer Cooks would ideally be available on Thursdays leading up to the 5:30pm dinner service, OR the volunteer could prepare the meal at an earlier time or date and leave instructions for serving.

We are looking for someone to be our backup cook. Our lead cook will train you and help you learn the ropes. An ideal candidate will be able to fill in if she is away or needs a break. Commitment would be max once/month, minimum once every other month.

All volunteers are invited to join the group dinner and activity each week.
Additional Details & Skills Required

Volunteers are welcome to join in on the meal they have cooked every Thursday at 5:30pm and get to meet great community members and other volunteers!
