The Hillhurst Sunnyside Farmers’ Market uses a Welcome Tent to connect with our customers and ensure they have everything they need. This is a central area where community members can engage with the different programs being offered at the HSCA, ask questions about the market, special events and more.
Expectations:
This volunteer is expected to maintain a good base knowledge of happenings at the HSCA, and be happy to represent the Hillhurst Sunnyside Farmers’ Market in a positive way, providing great customer service to all community members and customers.
Shifts will run weekly for the duration of market, on Wednesdays from 3:00 pm - 7:00pm.
The Welcome Tent Representative may assist with various tasks such as collecting payments / donations for items / programs, setting up the welcome tent and assisting with setting up other areas within the market.
The volunteer is expected to remain at their post for the duration of this time as there will be monetary responsibilities involved.
Certification or Education Required: No certification or education required; however, a brief interview will be held to assess qualifications and compatibility.
