Director of Education: Oversee Workshops & Educational Content!

5-10 hours / weekly
Ideally 1 year minimum commitment.
The MHS is looking for a Director of Education! As Director, you would oversee our Workshops team as well as all the educational content we share on our social media. This position requires someone who is a team player, highly organized, and able to help our programs succeed during this period of rapid growth in our organization! 
The Mental Health Society of Greater Victoria’s mission is to improve the mental health of people living in Victoria by contributing to relevant education and improving access to local support services.

We are a 100% volunteer-run organization that adapts to our volunteers' availability. Most tasks are performed remotely. However, we host weekly online meetings for the education team and a general meeting for our entire organization every 3 months. The schedule for these meetings will be decided according to the volunteers’ availability. On top of meetings, volunteers are expected to work remotely to complete their assigned tasks by a given deadline.

Time Commitment: This position is a minimum commitment of 5 hours per week.

The ideal candidate:
- Possesses a degree or diploma in a related field 
- Passionate about mental health 
- Excellent communication and leadership skills 
- Experience with leading virtual meetings and managing volunteers 
- Knowledge translation skills 
- Strong research skills 

Bonus:
- Experience with Google Drive, Slack and Trello 
- Experience delivering workshops/presentations
