Workshop Team Lead

The Mental Health Society of Greater Victoria is seeking a workshop team lead for our education team! As an organization, our mission is to improve mental health in Victoria by contributing to relevant education and improving access to local support services. 

We are a 100% volunteer-run organization that adapts to our volunteers' availability. Most tasks are performed remotely. However, we host biweekly online meetings for the education team and quarterly online meetings for our entire organization. The schedule for these meetings will be decided according to the volunteers’ availability. On top of meetings, volunteers are expected to work remotely to complete their assigned tasks by an assigned deadline.
As part of our education team, you will work closely with our Director of Education + team of volunteers to oversee the creation and implementation of online workshops about mental health. These workshops are presented to various workplaces, community groups, volunteers and the public. 

Required skills:  
Ideal candidate is currently living in Victoria, BC
Past experience with workshop development
Past experience in a leadership role 
Experience with Adobe Suite - Including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
Experience with Google Slides or other presentation software 
Skilled at engaging groups 
Strong research + presentation skills 
Empathy & compassion for all
Passionate about mental health 

Bonus Skills:
Curriculum development experience 
Past experience with Slack
